Not food/exercise bumps, but the ones life throws at you!
Foodwise, the day was uneventful--the usual breakfast and snacks, Lean Cuisine Cheese Lasagna and Chicken Scallopini for lunch (yummy), and a wonderful dinner at home (filet mignon, sweet potato, and salad). I did my .45 miles and 14 minutes at the gym.
The bumps in the road came from 2 areas:1) the sinus headache/infection is worse than ever, and the pain is horrible. I finally went to the doctor today and she put me on an antibiotic and a new decongestant. I hope they work, I can't stand this pain!! Oh, and the doctor's scale puts me 8 pounds HEAVIER than I was last week at home. (OK, I was fully dressed, had just eaten lunch, and was full of water, so it's probably more like 3, but still...) 2) our Scotland trip became a problem when we found out that the dates we want are unavailable. Nothing even close. So after some major negotiations with the rest of the family, we settled on a date that is 2 weeks earlier. Not the best for any of us--it means my sister will have to go back to Turkey a week before she'd planned to, and it means Danny will not be going to Military School as we'd planned. But after many hours of trying to put it all together, Danny is signed up for a camp he went to 2 years ago, Deb is working it out, and now I just need to get Laura signed up for HER camp. Whew!!! I can't imagine having the whole thing fall apart!
Tomorrow is weigh-in day and I can't wait. I hope and pray the doctor's scale was not a sign of things to come! If there's any justice in the world, I should be down 10 pounds! OK, not realistic, but 5 would be nice, after the first week of just 1. Well, it will be what it will be.
