Today was my off day from the gym (church, you know!) which was good, since I woke up with a sinus headache still throbbing. After church, I came home, ate lunch, took a Percocet, and went to bed for a couple of hours. It didn't help.
Around 3:30 I drove to my parents' house, headache and all. (Hey, it hurts just as much at home as it does there, so what's the difference?) We had a nice visit. We went out to dinner. We had decided on Red Lobster, which was good because I am familiar with the menu, so I could plan ahead. I ordered the Seafood Cesar Salad, with the dressing on the side. It was supposed to have shrimp, lobster, croutons and parmesan cheese, but for some reason they left off the croutons and cheese. This was NOT a bad thing! I asked for only 1/2 the lettuce, since I can never finish these huge salads. There was probably about 3 ounces of meat on it, and I dipped my fork into the dressing and then the salad, so I barely used any of the dressing. I also had ONE of their wonderful cheddar biscuits. (I usually eat 3!) I had ice water with lemon to drink. I was really proud of myself. I really had no interest in eating anything else. My sister even patted me on the back!
I drove home in the rain (yuck), and got home about 2 minutes before my kids. They ran in to tell me that the Giants won the game. YAY!!! Dallas lost!!! (I HATE Dallas, and I DO like the Giants) So that is great news. Now I'm hoping that the rain doesn't turn into the 3-6 inches of snow that is forecast for overnight and tomorrow. I do NOT feel like dealing with a snow day tomorrow. Plus I am supposed to go get fingerprinted at 10 am, and if I cancel, it will cost me $14. I wonder if they make an exception for snow??
The headache has remained all day. Laura gave me a wonderful massage of my head and face, which really helped while she was doing it. But as soon as she stopped, the pain returned. So I guess I'll be taking more medicine tonite. I think I'll have to call the Dr. tomorrow to see what's up before I leave for Canyon Ranch. I do NOT want to go away sick!
